Welcome to Oregon, a place of its own kind where the travelers have no goal but to explore its never ending diversity. Oregon first became the state of the US in the year 1859. It is also known as the Beaver State due to the abundance of beaver population in the state.
It is also well known as the most diverse state in terms of the landscapes in the United States. So much is the diversity that you will find tall, dense forests; accessible, scenic Pacific coastline; and rugged, glaciated Cascade volcanoes. Other areas include semiarid scrublands, prairies, and deserts that cover approximately half the state in eastern and north-central part of this region.
